Performance & efficiency
- 328i/328xi are powered by a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine with cast magnesium/aluminum construction. 230 hp and 200 lb-ft of torque (+46 hp and +25 lb-ft improvement over 2006 325Ci)
- 335i is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline 6-cylinder with aluminum construction, direct fuel injection with piezo injectors and dual vane twin turbo technology. 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque (+75 hp and +86 lb-ft improvement over 2006 330Ci)
- Availability of xDrive all-wheel drive on a 3 Series Coupe for the first time
- 6-speed manual transmission is standard equipment
- 6-speed STEPTRONIC automatic transmission with Normal, Sport and Manual shift modes is optional
- When equipped with optional STEPTRONIC automatic transmission and Sport Package, 335i can be equipped with optional steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters
